Why this exists
YouTube Studio shows a lot of numbers. Which of them mean anything isn’t written next to them, and anyone with several channels never sees them side by side anyway.
TubeCompass brings the numbers of all your channels into one place and writes next to each one what it measures. That sounds small. It is the difference between a table you click away and a page that leads to a decision.
And where YouTube hasn’t delivered anything yet, nothing is shown. No zero that looks like a collapse, no estimated value without a mark. That is the one rule everything else follows from.
Measured
That’s how the number stands in YouTube’s own analysis. The line is solid.
Proven zero
The public counter under the video didn’t move. Then the day really was empty.
Provisional
Calculated from the public counter while YouTube’s number is missing. Marked with an approximation sign.
Unknown
The line breaks off, the area is hatched. No claim is made here.
Who is behind it
TubeCompass is built and run by Daniele De Rosa in Saarbrücken. One person, no team, no investor in the background.
That has two consequences, and both belong on this page. The pleasant one: the same person who answers you also fixes the bug. The unpleasant one: it goes slower than if ten people were working on it.
That’s why access is currently granted on request. Better a few channels that run cleanly than many where the numbers never arrive.
What it explicitly does not do
Better you know now than after signing up.
YouTube only
No Instagram, no TikTok, no LinkedIn. Anyone who needs all of that in one place is better served by one of the big all-round tools.
No predictions
Four data points don’t make a forecast. Where the basis is too thin, you get a sentence instead of a number.
No advice without evidence
No “post on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.”. Every finding comes with the measurement it came from.
No spying on other channels
Channels you watch only deliver what is public under every video anyway.
Nothing in your name
You can reply to comments. Before anything is sent, the tool asks you every single time.
No invented numbers
Where YouTube delivered nothing, nothing is shown. Better a gap than a value you can’t rely on.
