Everything at a glance

The ten questions that come up most often before signing up.

What does TubeCompass cost?

There is no public price yet. Access currently runs on request, so that we grow cleanly with the first channels. The pricing page lists the planned tiers; the amounts there are marked as placeholders.

How many channels can I connect?

As many of your own channels as you have. On top of that you can watch other people’s channels; from those you only get what is public under every video anyway.

Which permissions do you need from my Google account?

Read access to your channel and video details and to your analytics numbers. Plus write access for exactly one thing: publishing a reply to a comment after you have written and confirmed it.

Every single permission is listed in the privacy policy, with its purpose next to it.

What happens to my data?

It sits on a server in Frankfurt am Main and is used exclusively to show you TubeCompass. Not sold, not passed on, not for advertising, not for training AI models.

You can revoke access in your Google account at any time, independently of us.

Are my comments stored?

No. Comments are fetched live from YouTube when you open the view and are only displayed. Only what is needed for the charts over time is stored.

Does this replace YouTube Studio?

No. Uploading, editing and monetisation stay there. TubeCompass is for the question that comes after: what happened, on which channel, and what does that mean for the next video.

Why are the last few days missing from the charts?

Because YouTube’s analysis takes up to three days. With us those days are marked as open instead of zero, so that you don’t see a collapse that never happened. Once the numbers arrive, the area fills in.

Where the public counter proves that a day really was empty, a zero is shown. You can tell the difference from the drawing.

Can I have my data deleted again?

Yes. An informal message to info@codepa.de is enough; deletion happens within 30 days. If you only disconnect one channel, we delete its token immediately.

Which languages is this available in?

German, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch — in the tool as well as on this website. You switch the language at the top right.

Is TubeCompass a YouTube product?

No. TubeCompass is an independent tool and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google. It uses the official YouTube interfaces.
